Oi with the poodles, already!!!
So my Freshman High School French teacher, Madame Sharp told me quite diplomatically at the end of the year that I would do really well with... German. I made out alright with the ol' Deutsch over the years. Managed to get overseas at least twice on that non-native tongue.
I wonder now what Madame Sharp (not to mention my ancestors) would think of my latest attempt in learning...
Gaelic?!?!

6. Rock Your Body
see relatedThis is only a dream...
So, whilst sleeping today to prepare for my work night, I had a dream. In this dream, I'm standing in my bedroom doorway talking to Justin Timberlake and a couple of his roadies/bandmates/whatevers (I didn't recognize them really) who is there for some sort of sleep-over/crash at my place type o' thing. I said something at somewhat a loud volume and then realized that I might wake my mom so I apologized then asked them to keep her in mind and keep the noise level down. They seemed very considerate and said it would not be a problem.
No, I've no idea what-so-ever what this dream might mean. I'm not a huge fan of Mr. Timberlake's. I don't dislike him, rather I do like some of his music and find his skits on SNL funny when he has appeared. I don't know what, if anything this dream signifies.
However, shortly after waking up and recalling the dream I did have his, "Rock Your Body" song running through my head. A new form of 'Dream Adverts' do you suppose? Weird...

Would you ever consider changing your birth name and if so, what name would you pick?
That's simple, yes. I have often thought it would be grand to be known as Leo Hasenpfeffer.
...yo!
I just answered this Featured Question; you can answer it too!

Tax 'em if you've got 'em!
Fund children’s insurance on the backs of smokers?
I like kids. I really do. I think that children should have universal health care. I think we should be thinking of ways to make this happen and find the funds for it. I do, sincerely.
However, I seem to recall a phrase, "No taxation without representation" being something of a battle cry for 'Americans' a while back and I fail to see why one (1) in five (5) Americans should bear the financial burden alone of funding said universal child care for the nation's children. I don't have any children of my own. How is this tax being justified?
I say we start taxing internet porn, fried foods and people who end their sentences in a preposition to raise the money instead. That would make me, at least, feel better about the numbers/percentages of those represented in the taxation demographic. Cast a wider net, get a greater rate of return. Why increase one tax 250% for 20% of the population?
Why not have a baby tax? You know, a tax on diapers to fund children's health care similar to how gas taxes fund road work. It make a little more sense to me than taxing something unrelated directly to the issue you're trying to fund.I'm just sayin'
